The main objective of celebrating World Ozone Day<\/a> is to make people aware of ultra violet rays while going out in the sun and to use ozone-preserving products. This day is mainly celebrated to make people aware about the degradation of ozone layer and to search for solutions about protecting it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Theme of World Ozone Day 2020 ‘Ozone for Life: 35 years of ozone layer protection’ because this year we are celebrating 35 years of global ozone layer protection. The theme of this Ozone Day ‘Ozone for Life’ reminds us not only that ozone is important for life on Earth, but also indicates to remember that we need to protect the ozone layer for our future generations Will have to continue.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The theme of World Ozone Day 2019 is ’32 years and Healing’. Through this theme, efforts will be made for three decades to protect the ozone layer and protect the climate under the Montreal Protocol.<\/p>\n\n\n\n World Ozone Day was first observed in the year 1995. This day educates the public about the importance of environment and the important means of keeping it safe. The purpose of celebrating this is to conserve the ozone layer on the earth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The ozone layer was discovered in 1913 by French physicists Fabri Charles and Henri Busson. The ozone layer is a layer of gas that protects the Earth from the sun’s harmful rays. This layer of gas acts as a good filter (filtered and purified) for ultraviolet rays emanating from the sun. This layer helps in protecting the life of the organisms of this planet. It protects the health and ecosystem of humans by preventing harmful ultraviolet rays from reaching the earth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Scientists of the British Antarctic Survey first discovered a large hole in the ozone layer over the Antarctic in 1985. Ozone is a light blue gas. The ozone layer has a higher concentration of ozone (O3) than other parts of the atmosphere. This layer is mainly found in the lower part of the stratosphere at a height of 20 to 30 km from the earth. The thickness of the layer varies according to the weather and geography.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The ultraviolet ray is a ray coming from the sun to the earth in which energy is very high. This energy is slowly diluting the ozone layer. Increasing amount of ultraviolet rays reduces the body’s ability to fight diseases in addition to skin cancer, cataract.
