The Railway Ministry has purchased a fleet of refrigerator bogies from the Kapurthala Rail Coach Factory. The capacity of a refrigerator parcel van is 17 tons. The Ministry of Railways has purchased 9 refrigerator bogies from the Fleet Kapurthala Rail Coach Factory.

Farmers train started through PPP

Indian Railways will start Kisan Rail through Private Public Partnership (PPP). It will have refrigerated bins for perishable agricultural produce. Indian Railways will run Kisan Rail through PPP for the creation of uninterrupted national cold refrigerated range for perishable products including milk, meat and fish. Express and freight trains will also have refrigerated coaches.

Plan to buy refrigerator rail container

Indian Railways plans to purchase 98 refrigerator rail containers in the future. This model should be kept solely on the basis of private public partnership. A rake will have 80 containers with a capacity of 12 tons / container.

Char cargo center

Railways has also prepared a project for loading-unloading of fruits and vegetables. The government will build four cargo centers under the pilot project. These Kargo centers will be built at Ghazipur Ghat (UP), New Azadpur (Adarsh ​​Nagar, Delhi), Lasalgaon (Maharashtra) and Raja Ka Talab (UP).

Railways plans to build an agricultural logistics center. Railway’s PSU CONCOR will make it fully. This agricultural logistics center will be built in Sonipat. This logistic center will be built on 16.40 acres.

Soon after the announcement of the Rail Agriculture Scheme in the budget, the Ministry of Railways has started working on it.
